Where the Wind Blows.

A website which we hope will help you to enjoy Europe with your caravan during the low season.

2003 - Like most caravanners, we had dreamed of taking our caravan to France for an extended holiday. We wanted to taste the freedom of choosing when to move on, and where the next stop would be.  In every issue of the caravan magazines that we read there are letters from people like us who suddenly realise that their dream can become a reality, but are now unsure how to make it happen, or whether they have the confidence to tackle Europe.  We have achieved no more than any other first time caravanner, and undoubtedly made some mistakes along the way, but have been surprised and delighted at how simple and enjoyable the whole experience was, and we realise that many of our experiences will be useful to others.  ‘Where the wind blows’ was the phrase we used most in planning our itinerary, and through this website we hope to help others to experience the same dreams.  We assume that you are fairly experienced caravanners, and it is therefore not our intention to enter into any basic caravanning issues. Similarly, the services and campsites that we used suited us, and any comments are, we hope, honest and unbiased.

2004 - We have now completed our travels in France and Italy for 2004, and the website has been updated, click on the link to see the latest.

2007 -  Unfortunately circumstances meant we had to forego our trips in 2005 and 2006, but we have again enjoyed our latest jaunt into France, where we have discovered the alternative Mediterranean in Languedoc Roussillon.

Coming early in 2008 - 30 days around New Zealand in a campervan.
